St. Peter’s and St. James’ churches have links to two Church of England schools and many of our young people choose them for their excellent educational reputations. Entry applications should be made direct to the schools.

St. Peter’s Church of England Primary School has an important place at the centre of our village community. They hold their special Christmas and Easter services in St. Peter’s church and many of the families join in the lively All Age Services at St. James’ church. If you wish your child to apply for a school place, full admission details are on their website.

Ripley St. Thomas Church of England Academy is a large secondary and sixth form school situated in beautiful grounds just to the south of the city centre of Lancaster. Due to its long tradition of academic excellence, there is competition for the 270 annual entry places. If you wish your child to apply for a school place, full admission details are on their website.

As both of these are Church of England schools, priority is given to parents and children with a Christian faith. To help in providing faith references to the schools, our parish has a Church Attendance Form that parents can download here and have signed each Sunday that they attend.  Ripley faith reference interviews are usually held in September for entry the following year.
