St Peter’s is a popular church for weddings and we advise couples not to book receptions until you have confirmed that the church will be available on your preferred date.

We can offer weddings to qualifying persons who have not been married before.

We welcome couples who are remaking their lives after divorce to discuss the possibility of a church wedding at St Peter’s. Please get in touch with the Rector.

The marriage vows are specifically Christian and are not suitable for those of a non-Christian faith.

To book a wedding you will need to contact the Rector who will arrange a time for you to see him to fill in some forms and to agree on your wedding date and time.

Three months before your wedding you will need to see the Rector again to confirm the practical arrangements such as music and flowers.

One month before your wedding your Banns will be read in church and ten days before your wedding there will be a rehearsal. To allow for photography we allow two hours for each wedding.

Please make sure that you and your guests arrive in good time for the Wedding. The car parking outside St Peter’s church is limited and although it is strictly for church users it is often used by other drivers. There is a large pay and display car park at the top of Main Street as you enter the village and is a couple of minutes walk to St Peter’s church.
